VIP Cinema Usher
Summary: An Usher is responsible for controlling access to the cinema by ensuring that everyone who enters has a valid ticket. For each cinema, ensure the best movie experience by monitoring picture and sound on the screen, temperature, and customer behaviour such as loud speaking, crying babies, and smoking. Provide directions to the correct cinema and answer guests’ questions about facilities and policies.
Requirements:
- Control cinema access
- Greet guests professionally
- Read tickets to verify date, screen and movie information
- Tear tickets
- Direct guests to the correct cinema auditorium
- Deposit stubs in ticket drop box
- Evaluate cinema auditorium environment
- Monitor temperature, lighting level, picture and sound quality
- Monitor audience behaviour to ensure guests are able to enjoy the movie undisturbed
- Clean lobby and cinema auditoriums
- Ensure crowd control and organize lines
- Provide information and directions to guests on request
- Check and be familiar with the performance (movie) schedule
- Knowledge of the building facilities and cinema policies is necessary
- Change marquees and poster cases
- Assist concessionists by carrying supplies
- Perform Guest Service and Box Office duties upon requests
- Ensure the security of the cinema and lobby areas at the close of business.
Qualifications:
- Three (3) to five (5) O’ Levels.
- Standing walking, lifting, and bending are performed on a frequent basis.
- Ticket tearing requires good manual dexterity.
- Ability to read the information on the ticket and direct customers to the correct auditorium using good communication skills.
- Marginal functions require the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and carry it up to 30-50 feet.

Requirements:
Check patrons' identification in order to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
- Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Escort customers to their tables.
- Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
- Inform customers of daily specials.
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
- Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for cleaning.
- Serve food and/or beverages to patrons; prepare and serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
- Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as a skilled Waiter and Waitress.
- Excellent knowledge and experience as it relates to the pertaining field
- Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to keep the Lounge organised, stocked and clean.
