At 2degrees we champion different. We always have. We've proven time and time again that doing things differently, both in the market and internally, delivers.
We welcome different ways of thinking, working and living. We'll never ask you to fit-in; we'll encourage you to stretch-out and we want you to be yourself because well that's what makes you, you. And in return we'll support you to do great things and make a real difference through empowerment, flexibility and connection.
Because truth be told, our difference is you.
Here at 2degrees we live by our values, not the rules. They express how we interact with our people, customers, shareholders and community. We recognize people that live and breathe them via an epic annual awards dinner and through Real Thanks cards which we hand out to say great job.

To be different, we need diverse people and different ways of thinking. We look after each other as people, not job titles.
We're humans too and we all have families, friends, pets and passions outside of our jobs. So we understand they all need to live in harmony for you to perform at your best.
We encourage our people to think differently and find new ways of doing things.
We're a growing company and we want you to grow with us.
Something we create together for our customers and each other.
We've been fighting for fair for 10 years and we're not stopping! Our customers love it and even Canstar recognizes it as we're the most awarded telco.
Sleep mostly... (don't tell my manager!)
I love the emphasis on employee wellness. I'm a big fan of lunch time yoga classes; I think I've really mastered the downward-facing dog pose!
2degrees flexible working allows me to "work" from home Monday-Thursday and come into the office on Friday to attend all my important meetings
🐶, obviously
I am very into anything involving lunchboxes!!
Pawssion
2degrees challenges the status quo - whether its our products and offers, how we show up in market with our campaigns or our people policies e.g. dogs at work on Fridays.
I flex between the office and home depending on my diary for the week - it ensures I get to see my colleagues and have those useful hallway conversations/working sessions in person while also ensuring I can break up the week by working from the comfort of my own home!
😉 for sure - it's fun and points to humour!
It's a cliché - but everyday is different and there is always a new challenge! I really enjoy the ever changing nature of the industry and 2degrees' willingness to challenge the status quo.
I am a bit of a petrol head and also a foodie - so you're most likely to catch me in a go kart or out exploring new cafes and restaurants.
It would have to be the brand-new office. It has all the latest office gadgets, hot desks, lockers, tonnes of meeting rooms, peacepods, yoga room, veg garden and a huge lunchroom with delicious coffee.
I love the buzz of the city and really enjoy the Fanshawe St location - so close to
great cafes and outdoor places.
2d gives us the freedom to figure out what works best for us.
You can start early and make the school pickup or pop out for exercise during the day, and if that doesn’t float your boat, you can even work 9-5, in the office, everyday like we did in 2002.
😍 - happiness and love - what's not to love? I'm normally getting sent selfies from my kids - so it's working right now. Sparkles is a close second.
The marketing team - we have a fabulous culture, great people and lots of laughs.
I love hanging with my kids (whilst they still like me), cooking, getting outside, listening to podcasts and swimming in the sea.
2degrees has a genuinely inclusive culture where different perspectives are valued.
We have amazing opportunities to support our wellbeing - through inspiring talks,
yoga, mindfulness - we even grow veges at our head office!
I love seeing all the different ways our people flex to suit their life - whether it
be starting early, working from home if they need to or taking time out during the
day to do some sport...
For me personally, the best thing is that we are given time off to allow us to do
volunteer work in the community!
Definitely 😍 - I'm all for bringing heart into the work we do!
I've only recently joined but obviously the fabulous people who work here!
Also the work we are doing to bring our purpose to life.
Yoga / running / taxi driver for my four boys / doing activities together as a family (hiking, mountain biking, all types of water sports...)
2degrees has always been a challenger brand, and came into existence to shake up the telco duopoly, bring competition and innovation to the market, and fight for fair for Kiwis. We position ourselves as 'unlike the other guys', so everything we do we need to question whether we're living up to that. As a marketer that makes 2degrees a great brand to work on – it has a clear point of view and a different positioning to the other players in the market.
I try and do a few school and kindy drop-offs and pickups each week – it's fantastic to be able to work flexibly to accommodate that.
I'm not a big emoji user in my civilian life – I'm one of those old school types whose messages are long sentences with punctation! But they're a very distinctive and important part of the 2degrees brand and how we communicate, and really fun to work with. We've just done a comms campaign celebrating our launch of 5G featuring the starry eye emoji, so that's my current fave.
As a marketer, 2degrees is a great brand to work on – it has a clear purpose and point of difference, and the brand is relatively young and has been well managed so the visual identity and tone are strong and consistent. As a company, 2degrees is at a really interesting age and stage – it's now a big, well-resourced company, but still retains a bit of the startup feel and culture.
Family life keeps me very busy outside of work – I'm married with two daughters. I also run a small beer business with a couple of friends called Badass Beverages. I used to play football and cricket, but with a busy family life and a few aches and pains I now just try and do a bit of running and hiking.
At 2degrees we run our own "race" rather than following others.
We come up with our own plans based on our strategies and that is very refreshing. We constantly challenge the status quo.
I'm able to attend any school events during the day and catch-up on work. Similarly if there are any school sporting events I don't feel like would have to miss those as a working mum. It's about being outcomes driven and managing your work effectively whist balancing the personal things that are important.
I love the red heart ❤️ as it can be used to express warmth, love, gratitude, happiness and hope.
I love the opportunities we have at 2degrees and feel I can shape my career. There is always lots of interesting things happening and we have an awesome Wellness Programme!
I am all about keeping fit so I make time for my routine gym classes and cycling. I enjoy taking walks with my family and hanging out with family and friends
We attract the best people from New Zealand and around the world who bring passion, are ready for a challenge and will thrive in our fast-paced environment. It's important to us that our recruitment process supports this.
We're committed to a fair process for every role, and whilst the process may vary slightly from role to role, the basic structure can be seen below:
